What the Monthly Recurring Fee Covers
The monthly recurring fee begins as stated in the representation agreement and ends when the case is closed. It includes many of the routine legal services needed to move a case forward, including:
- Drafting pleadings and other case-related documents
- Legal research, case development, and preparation
- Office, telephone, and virtual meetings
- Emails, messages, and other client communications
- Postage and routine correspondence
- Attorney services for mediation and depositions
- Attorney services for hearings and trial, including attendance by an assignment attorney when appropriate
- Attorney mileage related to representation
- Drafting proposed orders and other orders
- Communication and negotiations with opposing counsel
- Communication with the Guardian ad Litem
- MyCase client portal access, with no percentage-based fee charged by the firm when payment is made by credit or debit card
Additional Costs and Final Fee Determination
Third-party expenses are not included. After reviewing the facts and circumstances of your matter, Butler Law Firm will provide the actual fees required for representation before you retain the firm. The written representation agreement controls if it differs from this general pricing information.
